 فى موقع شفاف الشرق الاوسط  طالعنا زميل حركة مصريين ضد التمييز الدينى هشام الطوخى بمقالة عن مارتن لوثر كينج الذى اعتبره من دعاة السلام فى العصر الحديث وكتبت عنه سابقا فى مدونتى والمقالة اكثر من رائعة لانها تناشد الجميع بالبعد عن كل انواع التعصب الدينى  الذى يعصف بحياتنا ويؤرق كل انسان على ارض الكنانة والمقالة يليها ترجمة بالانجليزية

قبل مائة عام تقريباً، أعلن أحدُ المصريين العِظام، والذي نعيش اليوم فى أرضنا على ما تبقى من ثمار الحرية التى نثر بذورها جيله، أن “الدين لله والوطن للجميع”.كان ذلك الاعلان الخطير بمثابة شُعلةٍ تهتدي بها آمالُ الملايين من المُهمَّشين من أبناء الأقليات الدينية، الذين ذبلت سنواتهم في لهيبِ الاضطهاد العثمانى وظلم تخلف القرون القديمة والوسطى المهلك للانسان. فجاء الاعلان كفجر ضاحك ليُنهيَ ليل التهميش المذل الطويل.ولكن….وبعد مائة عام ….يجب علينا أن نواجه الحقيقة المأساويّة!

وهي أن القبطى والبهائى والشيعى والقرآنى وبقية أبناء الأقليات الدينية لا يزالون مُعاقين بقيود العزلِ الطائفى، وأغلالِ العنصريّة الدينية.بعد مائة عامٍ، لا يزالون يعيشون على جزيرةِ العزل في وسط محيط مصرى فسيح يمكنه اذا أمتلأت النفوس بالعدل والتجرد من الانحياز العاطفى أن يتسع للقبطى والشيعى والبهائى والمورمونى واليهودى واللادينى والبوذى والهندوسى جنباً الى جنب مع المسلم السنى.بعد مائة عام ، لا يزالُ ابن الأقلية الدينية - مالم تستثنيه هبة من الأرض أو من السماء - يذبُل في زوايا المجتمع المصرى ، فيجدُ نفسه منفيّا في أرضه أو فى خارج أرضه.ولهذا…

نخاطبكم اليوم كي نصوّر لكم وضعاً مروّعاً.

لم يستطع ستون ألف مصرى يهودى فى ستينات القرن الماضى صرف شيكهم!

واليوم……لا يستطيع الملايين من المصريين المسيحيين صرف شيكهم!

ولا يستطيع الآلاف من المصريين البهائيين صرف شيكهم!

ولايستطيع الآلاف من المصريين الشيعة صرف شيكهم!

ولا يستطيع الآلاف من القرأنيين واليهود واللادينيين صرف شيكهم!

ولا يُمكن لعاقل اليوم أن يتخيل امكانية التخلص من شيكات هؤلاء المصريين بنفس الكيفية التى تم بها التخلص من عبء شيك المصريين اليهود!

عندما كتب الذين أعلنوا بدمائهم بلدنا حراً ذا سيادة كلماتهم ورؤاهم عن الاستقلال والسيادة، كانوا يوقّعون على صكٍّ أصبح كلُّ مصرى ينتظر أن يرثه .كان ذلك الصكُّ وعداً بأن للجميع ضمانٌ بحقوقٍ لا تضيع، وحريةٍ، وسعيٍ حثيثٍ نحو السعادة .إنه لمن الواضح للعيان أن مصر اليوم خالفت بنود ذلك الصكّ كلما تعلّق الأمرُ بمواطنيها من أبناء الأقليات الدينية.فبدلاً من الوفاء بأحكام ذلك الالتزام … أعطت مصر الأقباط والبهائيين والشيعة والقرآنيين (شيكاً) زائفاً!(شيكاً ) كُتبَ عليه بعد محاولة صرفه : ” لا يوجد رصيدٌ كافٍ ” .

ولكننا نرفضُ أن نصدّق بأن مصرف العدل قد أفلس .نرفضُ أن نصدّق بأن لا عدالة كافية في الخزائن الضخمة في هذه البلاد التى كانت أول من امتلك منذ عدة آلاف من السنين خزائن للعدالة!إن هذا الوقت ليس وقتُ التعمية على المدينين ، ولا وقت المساومات فى جلسات عرفية على تسوية بحجج الانخراط في التهدئة ، أو وقت تعاطي مسكنّات التدرج فى تسديد الحقوق.الآن هو الوقتُ الذي ستُبرم فيه وعود حقيقية للعدالة أو يُعلن فيه بدء الغاء الدولة والقانون!

الآن هو الوقتُ الذي فيه ننهضُ من الظلام ونهجر وادي التمييز العنصري لنصلَ إلى الطريق المشمس للعدالة الدينية.

الآن هو الوقت الذي فيه نفتحُ أبواب الفرص لكل أبناء الوطن.. أبناء مصر.

الآن هو الوقتُ الذي فيه نرفعُ أمتنا من الرمال المتحركة للظلم ، إلى صخرةِ الاخوة الصلبة فى المواطنة.

إن الأمر قد يُصبح مُهلكاً إن تغافلت الدولةُ عن إلحاح هذا الوقت ، أو استخفّت بصرخات مواطنيها الذين يتجرعون يوماً وراء يوم بعد المذلة … المزيد من المذلة.لن يمرّ شتاء السخط هذا حتى يأتي ربيع يُنعشُ في هذه البلاد آمال الحرية والمساواة!

وإن عام 2008 ليس النهاية….بل البداية .

إن أولئك الذين يتمنون أنه لابد للقبطى مثلاً من أن يكبح غضبه ، ويرضى بواقعه ، قد يواجهون غداً إيقاظاً عنيفاً إذا ما استمرت الدولة فى غيابها الحالى.

لن يكون هناك سكونٌ ولا راحة في مصر حتى يُمنح كل مواطن حقوق المواطن. والا فسوف تزيد وتتضاعف الزوابعِ التى ستهزّ قواعد الدولة إلى أن يأتيَ يومٌ مشرقٌ يبزغُ فيه العدل على الجميع!

ولكن هناك شيءٌ يجب أن نقوله للمستضعفين من أبناءِ شعبنا … الذين يقفون على عتبةٍ ساخنةٍ … ويصرخون من أجل أن تصل مظالمهم إلى قصر العدالة … ” لا تبحثوا عما يُطفئُ ظمأكم للعدالة بالشرب من كاس المرارة والكراهية” ..

فالمظلوم لا يمكنه المضى فى الطريق وحده…

والعدالة معلقة على ميزان كفتيه العقل والمحبة!

هنالك أناسٌ يسألون أنصار الحقوقِ المدنيّة : “متى ترضون؟!”.

لن نرضى ما بقيَ الأقباط ضحيةً لرعبٍ لا يوصف فى كل مرة يطلق فيها أنصار الطائفية نفير الحرب ضدهم فى القرى والمدن.

لن نرضى أبداً ما دام عنف الغوغاء الجاهل يتوجه بالجملة الى مساكنهم ومحلاتهم ودور عبادتهم.

لن نرضى ماداموا يشعرون بالغصة لاستثناء الجرائم الجماعية التى تُوجه اليهم من حساب القانون.

لن نرضى ما داموا يدفعون الدم ثمناً لاقامة دوراً لصلواتهم وعبادتهم. لن نرضى ما داموا يشعرون بالغصة لأن وسائل اعلام الدولة تغض الطرف عن تكفيرهم وتشويه عقائدهم ، ونواياهم ، وسمعتهم… ثم تتركهم بلا دفاع. لن نرضى ماداموا يتلقون تحت سمع الدولة وبصرها تهديدات علنية متبجحة باخضاعهم فى يوم قريب لاضطهاد رسمى سيمنعهم فى بلادهم من المشاركة فى أمورها ويصادر أموالهم تحت مزاعم الجزية.

لن نرضى مادامت الدولة تسمح فى أحيانٍ بجعل الديانة سبباً فى مصادرة حقوق العمل أو الترقية و تولى المسؤليات.

لن نرضى مادامت الدولة تدمر حياة البهائيين ، وتضع العراقيل أمام تصريف أمور حياتهم اليومية ، وتمنع عنهم أبسط حقوق المواطنة فتضعهم لأول مرة فى تاريخ مصر تحت فئة البدون!

لن نرضى مادام هناك من المصريين من يخضع للتحقيق القضائى لأنه لم يقرأ الفاتحة فى الركعة الثالثة من صلاته!

لن نرضى مادامت الدولة لاتحاكم بتهمة جريمة التهديد بالقتل أوالتحريض على القتل هؤلاء الطائفيين الذين ينشرون فى صحفها وقنواتها الاعلامية الدعوة العلنية الى ارتكاب جرائم القتل ضد من يمارس الحق فى حرية العقيدة الذى نص عليه الدستور!

لن نرضى أبداً ما دام مجلس الشعب المصرى ليس حقاً مجلساً لكل الشعب المصرى ، ومادام أبناء الأقليات لا يؤمنون بشييءٍ يصوّتون من أجله .

لا … لسنا راضون.

ولن نرضى حتى يتدفّق العدلُ فى مصر كالماء، والاستقامةُ كنهرِ النيل العظيم.

فيأيها الضائعون فى الشوارع الواسعة فى (القاهرة) و(الاسكندرية )…. ويأيها الحزانى فى ( اسنا ) وفى الأحياء الفقيرة الضيّقة في مدننا وقرانا….

اعلموا أنه بطريقةٍ ما سوف يتغير هذا الوضع.

دعونا لا نتخبّط في وادي اليأس السحيق.

أقول لكم اليوم بأنه رغم الصعوبات والإحباطات التي تمر بها بلادنا ، إلا أنني ما زلتُ ككثيرين غيرى من أبناء هذا الوطن الممتد فى عمق التاريخ لآلاف الأعوام أحتفظُ بحلمي الى الآن.

إنه حلمٌ متأصلٌ بعمق في أعماق كل انسان شريف.

لدي حلمٌ بأنه في يومٍ من الأيام سوف تنهض دولتنا وتُحيي المعنى الحقيقي لانسانيتها فتقول: “إننا جميعاً نلتزم بهذه الحقيقة البيّنة بأن الجميع خُلقوا متساوين”.

لدى حلم….

لديّ حلمٌ بأنه في يومٍ من الأيام وفى مدارس حى (محرم بيك) الشعبى سوف يعود أولاد وبنات الأقباط يلعبون…. يُشبكون أياديهم الصغيرة بأيادى الأولاد والبنات المسلمين ، ويمشون معاً فى طريق عودتهم الى أمهاتهم متحابين اخوة وأخوات.

لديّ حلمٌ بأن أطفال البهائيين سوف يعودون الى مدارسهم ، وشبابهم الى جامعاتهم ليعيشوا يوماً ما في دولةٍ لا يُحكم عليهم فيها على أساس دينهم أو عقيدتهم.

لديّ حلمٌ اليوم …

لديّ حلمٌ بأنه في يومٍ من الأيام سوف يُزال كلُّ تمييز، ويُلغى كل اضطهاد ، ويستوى كل المصريين ، فيكون الدين لله ، ويكون الوطن للجميع.

هذا هو أملنا.

 هذا هو الإيمان الذي به سوف نستطيع أن نشقّ جبل اليأس بحجرٍ من الأمل.

بهذا الإيمان… سوف نستطيع أن نحوّل النشاز المزعج في دولتنا إلى سيمفونيةِ أخوّةٍ جميلة.

بهذا الإيمان… سوف نستطيع أن نعمل معاً، ونكافح معاً، وننتج معاً، ونُحضر بلدنا الى القرن الواحد والعشرين، ….فنسعد فيه مع العالم السعيد بالحريةِ والكرامة.سيكون هذا هو اليوم الذي فيه يغني كل أبناء مصر لسلام ومجد حقيقى جديد.

وإن أرادت مصر أن تصبح يوماً ما دولةً عظيمة ، فيجب أن يأتيَ حقاً هذا اليوم.

لذا…

فلتقرعوا جرس العقلانية…. الآن !

ولتقرعوا جرس المدنية…. الآن!!

ولتقرعوا جرس العدالة…. الآن!!!

ولتقرعوا جرس الحرية…. الآن!!!!

الآن….الآن….الآن!

In an article published recently on the Arab liberal websites Aafaq, Middle
 East Transparent, and Modern Discussion, Egyptian liberal Hisham Al-Tukhi
 adapted Martin Luther King Jr.’s famous “I Have a Dream” speech for the
 Egyptian context, urging full civil rights and equality for Egyptian
 minorities. The following are excerpts:”Fifty Years Ago, A Great Egyptian Declared ‘Religion Belongs to Allah and
 the Homeland Belongs to All’” ”Fifty years ago, a great Egyptian, [the leader of a] generation that sowed
 the seeds of freedom that we enjoy today in our land, declared: “Religion
 belongs to Allah, and the homeland belongs to all.”(1) This momentous
 declaration was a great beacon of hope to millions of marginalized members
 of religious minorities, who had for years been seared in the flames of
 withering Ottoman oppression and of injustices of ancient times and of the
 Middle Ages. This declaration came as a joyous daybreak to end the long
 night of their degrading marginalization.

 ”But 100 years later, we must face the sad truth! The Copts, the Baha’i, the
 Shi’ites, the Koranists,(2) and members of other religious minorities are
 still sadly crippled by the manacles of sectarian isolation and chains of
 religious fundamentalism. One hundred years later, [they] still live on an
 island within the vast Egyptian mainland, yet isolated from it, [although
 Egypt] could also welcome, alongside the Sunni Muslims, the Copts, the
 Shi’ites, the Baha’i, the Mormons, the Jews, the atheists, the Buddhists and
 the Hindus – if the souls [of the people] expelled [the idea of] segregation
 and instead became filled with justice. One hundred years later, the member
 of a religious minority still languishes in the corners of Egyptian society,
 and finds himself an exile in his own land – unless, through a divine or
 natural intervention, he is delivered from this fate.”

 ”Egypt Has Given the Copts, the Baha’i, the Shi’ites, and the Koranists a
 Bad Check”
 ”And so today I speak to you to dramatize this shameful condition.

 ”In the 1960s, 60,000 Egyptian Jews were unable to cash the check [given to
 them by the state]! And today:

 ”Millions of Christian Egyptians are unable to cash the check given to them
 by the state!

 ”Thousands of Baha’i Egyptians are unable to cash their check!

 ”Thousands of Shi’ite Egyptians are unable to cash their check!
 ”Thousands of Egyptian Koranists, Jews and atheists are unable to cash their
 check!

 ”It is inconceivable that today the checks of these Egyptians are refused,
 just as in the past, those of the Egyptian Jews were.

 ”Those who proclaimed our country’s independence, sovereignty, and freedom
 signed, with their own blood, a promissory note which every Egyptian was to
 inherit. This note was a promise that all men would be guaranteed the
 unalienable rights of freedom and the pursuit of happiness, and that no one
 would be deprived of these rights.

 ”It is obvious today that Egypt has defaulted on this promissory note
 insofar as religious minorities are concerned. Instead of honoring this
 sacred obligation, Egypt has given the Copts, the Baha’i, the Shi’ites, and
 the Koranists a bad check – a check that has come back marked ‘insufficient
 funds.’

 ”But we refuse to believe that the bank of justice is bankrupt. We refuse to
 believe that there is not enough justice in the great vaults of this
 country, which was the first to own vaults of justice in thousands of years!

 ”This is no time to throw sand in the creditors’ eyes, to conduct regular
 negotiations towards reconciliation, or to take the tranquilizing drug of
 gradualism in settling the issue of rights.”

 ”We Will Not Be Satisfied As Long As Egypt’s People’s Assembly Is Not an
 Assembly for All the Egyptian People”

 ”Now is the time to either make real the promises of justice or announce the
 annulment of the state and of the law! Now is the time for us to rise up
 from the dark and desolate valley of ethnic segregation to the sunlit path
 of religious justice. Now is the time for us to open the doors of
 opportunity to all sons of the homeland, the sons of Egypt. Now is the time
 for us to lift our nation from the quicksand of discrimination to the solid
 rock of brotherhood and citizenship.

“It would be fatal for the state to overlook the urgency of the moment or to
 underestimate the outcry of its citizens who suffer humiliation on a daily
 basis… The winter of discontent will not pass until spring arrives,
 reviving the hopes of freedom and equality!

 ”The year 2008 is not an end – it is a beginning. Those who hoped that the
 Copt would hold back his anger and acquiesce to the status quo will tomorrow
 have a rude awakening, if the nation persists in its current state of
 unconsciousness. There will be neither rest nor tranquility in Egypt until
 every citizen is granted his citizenship rights. Whirlwinds will continue to shake the foundations of the state until the bright day of justice dawns for
 all!

 ”But there is something we must say to the oppressed sons of our people, who
 are standing on a smoldering threshold, crying out in the hope that their
 grievances reach the palace of justice. Let us not seek to satisfy our
 thirst for justice by drinking from the cup of bitterness and hatred. The
 oppressed cannot walk alone. The cups of the scale of justice are reason and
 love.

 ”There are those who are asking the devotees of civil rights: ‘When will you
 be satisfied?’ We will not be satisfied as long as the Copts are subjected
 to unspeakable terror every time a war cry is sounded against them in
 villages and towns by the supporters of sectarianism. We will not be
 satisfied as long as the ignorant riffraff perpetrate acts of violence
 against their homes, shops and places of worship. We will not be satisfied
 as long as Egypt’s People’s Assembly is not an assembly for all the Egyptian
 people in the real sense…”

 ”We Will Not Be Satisfied Until Justice in Egypt Rolls Down Like Waters, and
 Righteousness Like the Mighty Nile”

 ”No, we are not satisfied, and we will not be satisfied until justice in
 Egypt rolls down like waters, and righteousness like the mighty Nile.

 ”Oh, wretched people in the broad streets of Cairo and Alexandria! Oh,
 grieving people of Esna and of the poor and suffering neighborhoods of our
 towns and villages! Know that somehow this situation can and will be
 changed. Let us not wallow in the valley of despair. I say to you today:
 Despite the difficulties and the obstacles that our country endures – along
 with many other sons of this nation, whose history dates back thousands of
 years – I have a dream. It is a dream that is deeply rooted in the nature of
 every honorable man.

 ”I have a dream that one day our country will rise up and live out the true
 meaning of human values, saying: ‘We hold these truths to be self-evident,
 that all men were created equal.’ I have a dream that some day, in the
 schools of the Mahram Bey [neighborhood], the children of the Copts will
 resume their games, joining their little hands with those of Muslim boys and
 girls, and they will all walk back home to their mothers together, filled
 with brotherly love. I have a dream that some day all segregation will be
 removed, every kind of oppression will cease, all Egyptians will be equal,
 and ‘the religion will be for Allah, and the homeland for all’…

 ”If Egypt ever wants to become a great nation, this day must truly come.”(3)
